Part of the draw for this year’s UK Championship at Telford recently became available on the Global Snooker Centre. Click below for more information…

Although it is still unknown as to how the qualifiers will be allotted to the draw, we can at least see how the seeds are positioned. To view it, please click here.

At the top of the draw is defending champion and world number 1 Ronnie O’Sullivan who for the third time this season in a ranking event is scheduled to meet Joe Perry in the last 16. It is a tough draw for the rocket who has the likes of Marco Fu, Ryan Day and Mark Selby in his half, all very capable players.

Indeed by contrast the bottom half of the draw while full of some incredible talent, also has a number of players who are not in particularly great form at the moment. The likes of Stephen Hendry, Shaun Murphy, Ding Junhui and Neil Robertson have all had slow starts to the season so it will be interesting to see who can find their form and come through their first few matches. Perhaps there may be an opportunity for a qualifier to make an impact as Ricky Walden and Dave Harold have done so far this season.
