While browsing today I stumbled across the new video features including player interviews that are now available on the 110sport website. Click below to read more…

The site now appears to ask for a password so perhaps we might have to wait a little longer for the full roll-out of the site…

Original Article:

110 Sport, the famous sports management group who represent top players such as Stephen Hendry, Stephen Maguire, Ali Carter and Mark Allen have recently set up a new TV website featuring interviews and features with their many clients.

Although the website appears to be very much in its infancy, in the snooker section there are already a few short interviews with some snooker players set up with others to come. Looking at them they appear to be recent and see all of the players talking about how they got into snooker, what their career highlight has been, what their hopes are for 2009 and giving a message for their fans. The interviews already up there can be accessed by clicking the following links:

  • Stephen Hendry
  • Joe Perry
  • Ali Carter
  • Ken Doherty
  • Mark Allen
  • Matthew Stevens
  • Marco Fu
  • Mark King
  • Terry Griffiths (Director of Coaching)

In addition there seems to be the promise of more exclusive content, notably Stephen Hendry on his interview mentions that he will soon be starting a blog on the site which will be worth keeping an eye out for.

Also there is a very interesting interview with 110 Sport President Ian Doyle, Stephen Hendry’s long-term manager of course, who speaks about when he first saw Stephen play and how his career has developed. He also shows off some very special snooker memorabilia such as the Masters trophy that Stephen was allowed to keep in 1993, as well as a replica of the World Championship trophy that was once presented to Joe Davis.

You can access this interview by clicking here.

You can also register with the site here to access exclusive content in the future. Note that when you sign up you are asked to choose a favourite sport/player and when you do, you will get a welcome video from that player which is quite amusing.

Hopefully this site will continue to develop and we will see more from the players in question in the future. It is always good to have fan and player interaction, for example Mark Selby’s Eurosport blog this season I think has been a great feature and addition to the season. Let’s hope that there will be more to come…
