Following his match with Xiao Guodong today, Ronnie O’Sullivan was interviewed by the Sina, the official website for the tournament in China. Click below to watch the interview…
Click here to watch the interview and hear Ronnie’s thoughts on various subjects such as his match with Xiao, whether he feels pressure as the World Champion and whether he thinks the winner of the tie between him and John in the next round will go on to win the title.
He is also asked for his opinion on Chinese snooker players at the moment and gives his view on who is the best talent out of Ding, Marco Fu, Xiao Guodong and Liang Wenbo, as well as who will win the Ding v Wenbo match at the Crucible in a couple of weeks.
Though (as Dave Hendon has pointed out) he is clearly tired and bored with the slow pace of the interview, he at least has kept it clean this time, unlike last year! Enjoy.

I honestly think he’s mainlty tired. He never copes well with jetlag. This is not seeking for excuses … actually I sincerely hope he gets some sleep tonight so that we have a good match tomorrow because usually those two bring the best out of each other and it’s a treat.

Oh I’m sure it doesn’t help and I’m not particularly trying to have a go at him, I remember when he and Joe Perry were interviewed in Shanghai on Chinese TV, Joe looked every bit as bored as Ronnie did! I can understand it to a degree with how slow the interviews are.
It’s not the best interview to watch and he does look a bit disinterested as well as tired to me, but he’s answered the questions sensibly enough so fair play.

No need to be sorry, the more international comments the better
