Again, this list includes points already earned for the World Championship, so is the most up to date list that you will find. As the matches are completed at the Crucible, I will update the list accordingly.

Top 16 pretty much sorted – If Ding loses tomorrow and Cope wins then Ding will be anxiously waiting for the result of Cope against Higgins (or Holt), but aside from that the top 16 is fixed barring an amazing run to the semis or final by someone else.
Positions 5-8 could still swap around, but Perry could slip down a place or two if he loses. All in all, not as much excitement as last year. When Allen lost against Hendry he was 16th provisionally, but there were 3 or 4 players who could have overtaken with one more win, but they all slipped up

Hi, Craig Steadman is not on the professional circuit yet, instead he is on the secondary ‘PIOS’ circuit where at the end of the season, the top eight in the rankings are promoted to the main tour.
Craig has done really well in the PIOS though and with one event to go in the season, currently lies in 4th place in the rankings, so with a decent finish he should step up to the professional tour next season.

With higgins winning his 3rd world championship, he is well out in front on the one year ranking list which would surely make him favourite to regain the no1 spot over the next season.
Correct me if i’m wrong but i got that information from worldsnooker

Yes that’s absolutely right. Also of course there look like being only six events next season compared to eight this, so the 2008/9 results will be even more important than usual.
I’ll post something about this over the next few days.

hi matt just a quick question, if Jamie Burnett was found guilty of any wrong doing and got a ban, would that mean David Gray would move up and keep his place on the tour? Would it affect the players coming in off the one year list?
