It’s a couple of days later but a quick word of congratulations to Jack Lisowski who has been awarded the Paul Hunter Scholarship for 2009, following in the footsteps of Adam Duffy and current professional Daniel Wells…

A 17-year-old youngster from Gloucester, some will say that Jack is an appropriate choice for the award because like Paul, he too has suffered from cancer having been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma last year. Make no mistake though, he is a highly talented young player too and fully deserves the opportunity he has been given based on his performances on the table.

Following extensive treatment he is now hopefully on the mend physically and by reaching the final of Event Six in this season’s PIOS tour recently, showed that he is still on course on the table.

All the best to him with his career and his quest to get onto the main tour during the next few seasons.
