Well there has been a lot of speculation as to whether the World Championships might move from the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to somewhere else in the UK, or even further afield to China. As it is though it would appear that the tournament will remain at the home of snooker for a while yet!

Due to a fiasco with the trains I’ve only managed to get in at 10pm and am up early to get to Sheffield for tomorrow’s morning session. Still, it was a great day today despite me only seeing three frames!

The man of the moment, Mark Allen Wow, what a day! As you will already know by now Mark Allen has caused the shock of the tournament so far by ending the reign of defending champion Ronnie O’Sullivan this morning. More about that in a later post as here is the story of my day …
