Happy birthday to former world number 6 Mike Hallett who today reaches the half-century at 50…
While he is perhaps best known for his work as a commentator these days, Mike was a fine snooker player back in the late 1980′s when he managed to capture his first and only ranking event title at the Hong Kong Open. While he has since lost his tour place (read my profile on him for more detail), he continues to play in the PIOS and finishing last season 17th, came reasonably close to a professional return.
Happy birthday Mike!

I think he was 50 last year.
Ignore my last comment, this post plus some of your others has just appeared on Newsnow but I have just noticed it is 5 months old!
