White 147 lights up Grimsby

Jimmy White may not have experienced success during ranking events recently but he rolled back the years with a maximum 147 break last night against old friend Alex Higgins during an exhibition at the Grimsby Auditorium…

Given the health of Alex Higgins it will come as no surprise to many to read that world number 57 Jimmy White won their match at the Grimsby Auditorium 5-0 last night. Nevertheless the 147 break that Jimmy recorded during frame four of their match will have been  a memorable highlight for those present and Jimmy showed that it was no fluke by firing in a break of 146 in the following frame!
