Looking at the line-up for tomorrow, the only current professional involved to make it through was Kyren Wilson who defeated Kishan Hirani, Andrew Milliard and Lewis Calcutt for the loss of just one frame. He also notched up the highest break of the day (122) and will now meet Scot Fraser Patrick who was last on the tour back in 2007/08 and had impressive wins against Leo Fernandez and Lee Page today.
Also through is Sam Baird, a professional during the 2009/10 season who will be hoping to bounce back after a year away and had good results today against Chris Norbury, Sam Harvey and current professional Jamie O’Neill. His next opponent will be Rhydian Richards, conqueror of another current professional Adam Wicheard as well as Team Snookerbacker’s leading man, Allan Taylor.
Heading out of the tournament were Welsh professional Jak Jones, PSB blogger Michael Wasley and the man who was this week handed the final wildcard into the German Masters, Daniel Wells. Through to what should be an interesting last eight tie though are Alex Davies and Mitchell Mann.
