Sad news today as it was announced that Ali Carter has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Haikou World Open on medical grounds, presumably related to the Crohn’s disease from which he suffers. Dave Hendon at Snooker Scene blog has outlined Ali’s situation succinctly in this article, so I would just like to wish Ali all the best and hope that he is back in action soon.
