The Terry Griffiths Matchroom hosts the Agnes Davies Memorial in honour of the World Ladies Billiards & Snooker Association’s life president, who died last year aged 90.
Davies (nee Morris) was effectively the women’s professional world champion in 1949 and represented her native Wales for a staggering 60 years.
Dusting off her cue will be Janie Watkins, media manager for On Q Promotions, who said: “She was probably the greatest ambassador ladies’ snooker ever had.
“I’m proud to have called her my teammate and life-long friend. She is quite simply a legend in Wales.”
World number one Maria Catalano heads an all-star cast that includes players from England, Ireland, Wales, Latvia and Hong Kong.
Missing from the action will be eight-time world champion Reanne Evans, who is competing in World Snooker’s Q School in Sheffield
