Rankings Updated…Or Not?

A very brief post to flag up something that has arisen this evening, it would appear that there is something amiss with the latest world ranking list published by World Snooker following John Higgins’ victory at the ET1 event.

While the points from the UKPTC1 event in 2011 have been correctly removed, it would appear that points from the weekend’s action in Bulgaria have only been added for a handful of players ranked outside of the top 64.

So long as the points are added at some point soon, the error will not make any difference, Neil Robertson will still reclaim top spot in the rankings for the first time since 2010, though his lead will be increased by a further 1,600 points.

The seeding list though will not be altered until following the ET2 event, and you can see the latest projected seeding list here at PSB, as the race for favourable seedings continues for one of the three remaining events not to be staged using a flat 128 draw.

The action continues today in Yixing, with the start of this season’s first Asian Tour event…
