Tomorrow sees the start of the professional rounds of the Paul Hunter Classic, one of the sport’s most popular events and for 2015 there will be an extra special prize, with a new glass trophy (above), supplied by Waterford Crystal.
The exquisite trophy sees the names of the 11 previous winners of the event dating back to 2004, starting of course with Paul himself listed on its front, underneath the logo of the WPBSA and the title of the event.
It is the latest in a long line of prestigious trophies produced by Waterford, including those for the Ashes cricket series, international tennis events, Formula One races and of course snooker’s very own Dafabet Masters trophy, which appropriately was also first won by Paul Hunter back in 2004.
