As some of you have spotted, the qualifying draw for the Grand Prix has recently been released and is now available here on PSB, while there is also some news on how you can watch the last 32 draw will take place…
As you can see, we have another interesting draw with Marcus Campbell and Judd Trump set to meet for the second event in a row, while Jimmy White has a tough task with the likes of Matt Selt and Stuart Pettman in his section. As ever there will be updates on the qualifying matches here when they get going later this month.
For the second successive year, the 16 players who play well enough to make it through to the last 32 will be randomly drawn with a top 16 player at the conclusion of the qualifiers but this time, the draw will be streamed live over at 110sport.com for free. This will take place following the conclusion of the final qualifying match on September 24th and it will be good to see it live rather than read it later online as was the case last year.
Let’s hope that Rob Walker can get it right this time and avoid a repeat of the unfortunate incident last year when he announced that John Parrott would play Steve Davis in the quarter-finals, forgetting that John still had to play Ali Carter!
