The 2011/12 season was however to prove a baptism of fire for the 15-year-old as he suffered a number of whitewashes and was unable to win a match during either the first four full-ranking event qualifiers or any of the PTC events that he entered.
Following PTC10 Kacper took the decision to return home and consequently withdrew from the final two events of the PTC season, though he did return for the final two qualifiers of the campaign, losing 10-2 to David Morris at the season-ending World Championship to confirm his relegation from the tour.
