It doesn’t seem that long since Ronnie O’Sullivan lifted the world title back in May but if you want to be there at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to see if he can do it again, click below to read how to do so…

Though it is available a bit earlier than usual, the procedure appears to be much the same as always which is good to know.

If you want to obtain a printed copy of the booking form then again you must send an SAE to the Crucible Theatre (despite the ongoing rennovations going on there), and you will receive it shortly. The address to put on the envelope is:
World Snooker Box Office, The Crucible Theatre, 55 Norfolk Street, Sheffield S1 1DA.
The article says that they will begin to process applications in early January so if you want to get the best tickets, as well as those for the final, then you don’t want to leave it too late. I missed the deadline last year and found that as a result the majority of my tickets were back on row K and the like which is not ideal, though the view is still pretty good considering.
Don’t panic though, if you are too late for whatever reason then you can pick up some good tickets on the Sheffield Theatres website or by phoning the venue directly, right up until and during the tournament itself. People return tickets all the time and despite me not getting many in my initial application last year, I picked up several returns for the matches I wanted to see, usually in good seats too. If you want to wait to see who the qualifiers are for the event how how the draw looks, then for the early rounds at least then this is well worth doing.
For the bigger matches such as the final and those involving O’Sullivan, Hendry etc however, then I wouldn’t advise waiting too long…
