Drama in the third frame of Ding Junhui‘s match with John Higgins this afternoon as he made a terrific 147 break, his second ever after his max against Anthony Hamilton at the 2007 Masters…
It was a great break and it was far from a formality as the last red was tight on the cushion, with the path from black to yellow being partially blocked by the blue as well. Ding made it look easy though and stroked home the 67th maximum in professional competition and the eighth in UK Championship history. He was visibly delighted, as was his opponent John Higgins and the players from the other TV table.
Well done Ding!
