No doubt many of you will have heard about the events following Mark Selby’s triumph at the Crucible on Monday but for those of you who haven’t, the evening was to take a surreal twist at the traditional after-show party…
Indeed, while it was perhaps not too surprising to see Mark join the excellent band Mancini Fires up on the stage to sing a number (Chasing Cars), during the evening, the real surprise came when they were later joined by Nicko McBrain, snooker fan and well-renowned drummer for Iron Maiden later in the evening.
While I am not usually one for deafening music and loud parties, it was something so surreal and unique that I couldn’t resist getting up close and recording some of the footage to share with those of you who couldn’t be there.
