Pro Snooker Blog: Now on Twitter!

Another quick post to give you a heads up of a new feature that I have added to the blog over on the right hand side above the Pro Snooker Poll…

For those who are not already aware, ‘Twitter’ is the latest social networking craze to take the internet by storm, allowing users to post updates on their daily life via their computer or even SMS.

Furthermore as a result of an update to WordPress (the software hosting this blog), users can now insert a Twitter widget into the blog which is exactly what I have done, meaning that I can now update the site whilst away from my computer.

The result is that when attending snooker events such as the upcoming World Championship, I can now provide live updates and obervations on the day, rather than having to wait until I get back home late at night. It is a big shame really that this was not an option before last month’s World Championship qualifiers as I could have updated you as the shots went in, but at least I should be able to do that next season at those events staged in Sheffield.

Still, I should at least be able to provide updates from the Crucible in a couple of weeks, though naturally I will not be able to have my phone on when in the arena. Keep an eye on it though, if I see anything of interest then it will be up here in an instant.
