The Hexagon in Reading will host snooker’s celebrated Shoot-Out event for the first time in 2016.
The Shoot-Out, first staged in 2011, was previously held in Blackpool and has become a firm favourite among fans for its non-stop thrilling action.

Champion of Champions 2015: Tournament Preview
Tuesday sees the start of the 2015 Champion of Champions event and following Mark Allen’s victory at the Bulgarian Open yesterday, we now know who the 16 players competing at the Ricoh Arena will be.

Allen Wins In Bulgaria
Mark Allen won his first title in 15 months by beating Ryan Day 4-0 in the final of the Victoria Bulgaria Open in Sofia.
World number ten Allen dominated the final in the Bulgarian capital to take the 25,000 Euro top prize at the season’s fourth Kreativ Dental Clinic European Tour event. The 29-year-old from Antrim won his first title since last year’s Paul Hunter Classic.
TV Choice
In recent months, seasons in fact, there has been some debate as to the selection of matches for the televised tables at professional events, particularly at European Tour events covered by Eurosport.
The matter was again raised this morning on Twitter by former world champion Ken Doherty, who questioned the selection of three matches which saw top 16 players take on amateurs this morning instead of more evenly matched contests.
Is the current strategy the right one or does Ken have a point? Below I consider some of the arguments both ways…
European Tour Resumes In Bulgaria
The snooker season resumes tomorrow with the fourth European Tour event of 2015/16 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
As ever, updates will follow throughout the course of the weekend as the battle for places on the European Order of Merit intensifies, with tour places and Players Championship Grand Finals spots up for grabs.
