Snooker Shaun’s Success Cues Generous Donation

On Friday 25th September World No.6 snooker star Shaun Murphy visited Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to present a cheque for £5,100.

Charity patron Shaun is a regular visitor to the hospital, donating £100 every time he makes a break of 100 or more in a competitive match. His latest donation covers the number of centuries that he made during a successful 2014-15 season that saw him land three titles.

Kyren Reflects On Shanghai Fairytale

Just a few days ago 23-year-old Kyren Wilson was the last man standing at the Shanghai Masters as he defeated Judd Trump 10-9 to win his first ranking event title.

On Tuesday I caught up with the new world number 22 as he looked back at a memorable week that incredibly might never have been, with a visa scare at one stage threatening his participation at the venue stages.

Weekend Pro-am at O’Sullivans S.C. – 26th September 2015

A heads up for those on the south coast as this Saturday (26th September 2015) there will be a pro-am held at the O’Sullivans Snooker and Pool Club in Bexhill-On-Sea.

The action gets underway at 10:30am and will see matches played over the best of seven frames, while there will also be a plate event for first round losers.

There will be a guaranteed top prize of £500.00 to the winner of the main event, with the runner up taking £250.00, semi-finalists £125.00 and £75.00 on offer for the highest break. The winner of the plate event will take home £100.00, with £50.00 going back to the runner-up.

Entries cost £50.00 and main tour professionals will give a -21 start, Q School players -14.
