Potential Last 48 “grudge match” between ex-WPSBA board players rep member Mike Dunn with the man who replaced him Steve Davis.
McCulloch v O’Brien, Bond v Gunnell, McLeod v Harold all potential snoozefests !!
Doherty v Dott clash a possibility again too.
Rising stars Cope, Trump, Walden, Wenbo all have favourable draws and should be confident of making it to China.
Steve has had really good draws this season. And yet he has only won one of the four! This is his best chance as I expect Morris to come through. Last time in 2007/8 5-0! Steve has to win this one which may not appeal as he will then have a journey to face! However me thinks he is due a tough draw which only leaves the big one and that would be a must win! It just seems inevitable that Ken Doherty will draw him for a place at Sheffield!
The Worlds draw is actually out (not worked out how to get all of the rounds on here yet), and it’s pretty good for Steve, looks like Gunnell again.
Potential blast from the past with Parrott – Drago – Drago’s form has been good, but Parrott may fancy that more than an up and coming player and if Parrott gets through that, I think he may beat Hamilton and Lee to go to China for his only qualification of the season, which he really needs.
Patrick Wallace has been relatively steady this season and I think he’ll get through a couple of rounds to meet his compatriot Ken Doherty who should prove too much and I think this time, Ken will gain revenge on Graeme Dott which would then give him a little breathing space to get back into top 32.
Other outsiders who could get through – Matt Selt and Robert Milkins, but most of the rest of 17-32 wil qualify although there is always a few shocks.

How long will it take people to realize this
You have put Chris Norbury on the last qualifying round against Steve Davis. Mike Dunn should be there. As Witz78 said, it will be a “grudge match” now between Mike Dunn and Steve Davis which is quite interesting.
Otherwise, it’s a great coverage of the China Open Qualifiers!
