Australian Goldfields Open 2013: Starts Tomorrow

So then, after a quiet couple of weeks on the snooker front, battle resumes tomorrow as the third edition of the Australian Goldfields Open gets underway in the early hours.

Of course, there are a number of the sport’s established names who have elected to sit out the tournament, but with the likes of Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy and Ding Junhui among those involved, the field is nevertheless a strong one.

You can find all of the usual essential links to follow the tournament on the right side bar here at PSB, though with Eurosport electing not to televise the event live, you will have to rely on the streaming services provided by both the usual betting sites and Eurosport Player in order to watch the action.

The even begins with wildcard matches involving Mike Dunn and Michael White in the opening session, before the last 32 gets underway later in the day.

Finally, in the absence of a full tournament preview, I will simply make my predictions as follows:

SF: Murphy def Hawkins, Robertson def Selby

F: Robertson def Murphy
