Maiden Max For Woollaston In Lisbon

Woollaston

Congratulations to Leicester’s world number 36 Ben Woollaston, who today made his first professional 147 break during his first round match against amateur Joe Steele at the Lisbon Open event in Portugal.

Coming in the third frame of the match, the break represents the 110th maximum break in professional competition and provided that it is not equalled during the remainder of the weekend, will earn him £500.00 from the European Tour rolling 147 pot.

The break was officiated by Belgium’s Marc Lauwers, who I am informed was refereeing his first match for World Snooker.
