In recent months the location of this season’s fifth European Tour event scheduled for 12-14 December 2014 has been something of a mystery, but according to the German version of Eurosport’s website at least, the cat would now appear to be out of the bag, with the tournament set to be the first staged in Lisbon, Portugal.

Meet The Euro Tour Refs!
Earlier this month, following a number of tweets received during the European Tour 3 event as to the identity of the referees involved, I posted seeking information from those out there in order that I could shed some light and learn more about the increasingly familiar faces appearing on our television screens.
Since then I have been contacted by a number of referees who have been happy to tell me a bit more about themselves and you can now read more about them here at my new European Tour referees section here at PSB…
Attention All European Tour Refs
Whilst watching the recent European Tour three event in Sofia, one of the subjects that I received the most tweets on was not the matches in progress, nor the players involved, but in fact the referees in action, many of whom are familiar to those of us who watch regularly, but are not necessarily familiar by name, let alone any further information.
Whether it be by way of additional referee profiles, or by a blog article, I would like to give those referees a little more exposure to the wider snooker world, so if anyone would like to be featured, or can provide me with a little information on the regular European Tour referees, please feel free to contact me either in the comments section below, on Twitter or at the usual email address at the top of the page.

From this list there will be 16 qualifiers for the season-ending EBSA play-offs, with two main tour places ultimately up for grabs.
