Q School 2014: Starts Saturday

Well you didn’t think that we could go a week without a snooker tournament did you? Five days on from Mark Selby’s Crucible triumph, snooker’s strongest amateurs will begin their latest battle for main tour places tomorrow at the 2014 Q School.

Set to be held for the first time at the South West Snooker Academy, the two events will be held between 10-21 May 2014, with eight professional places up for grabs for the winner of each event.

Q School 2014: Draws Now Available

A short post to confirm that World Snooker have today published the draws for the upcoming 2014 Q School events, which will see eight more professionals confirmed for the 2014/15 season.

As ever, there are some big names in the mix, including players who have dropped off the tour this season such as Martin O’Donnell, Sean O’Sullivan, Tian Pengfei and Li Yan, while ladies world champion Reanne Evans will also take part.

SWSA Set For 2014 Q School

All budding snooker players will have the chance to chase their dream by qualifying for the professional tour at Q School 2014.

Entries are now being taken for the event which will take place at next May, with 12 two-year tour cards on the World Snooker circuit up for grabs. For the first time, the event will be held at the Capital Venue in Gloucester.

Q School 2013: Starts Saturday

A couple of days ago, I outlined the route on to the main tour for 2013/14 for wannabe snooker professionals and over the course of the next two weeks, we will learn the identity of another 12 of the total 133 as the 2013 Q School is played out at the EIS.
