Closing In On The Cut: Crucible 2015
Following Joe Perry’s victory at the 2015 Players Championship today, we are now just one event and one week from knowing the final seedings list for next month’s World Championship, with only one place now up for grabs at the Crucible, but the placement of the seeds in the draw to be determined.
There is also the small matter of a battle for the number one ranking, with Mark Selby needing to win matches in Beijing if he is to retain the top spot ahead of Ronnie O’Sullivan…

Tour Structure 2015/16: Making 128 (ish)
As we enter the closing months of the 2014/15 season, attention is beginning to turn to how the tour will look next season, with the European Tour set to reach its conclusion before the end of February and tour places up for grabs at upcoming amateur events such as the European U-21 Championship in March.
Though a full qualification criteria has yet to be confirmed by World Snooker, we can nevertheless draw some conclusions based upon what we do know…

Are There Too Many Number Ones?
Following his victory at last weekend’s German Masters, Mark Selby regained the official number one ranking for the third time this season and the sixth time during his career to date.
Already, we have seen the number one ranking change hands on a number of occasions during 2015, with Selby, Neil Robertson and Ding Junhui all having occupied top spot in the last month, but are we now at a point where there too many changes? Has holding on to the top ranking lost some of its prestige?

World Snooker Rankings 2014/15: Revision Five Round-Up
