Career Summary
A former English Amateur Championship semi-finalist, Wayne Cooper spent one season on the main tour early on this decade before returning to the amateur ranks, where he has played for most of the time since.
2008/9
2008/9 saw Wayne return to the professional ranks for a second time as a result of finishing top of the EASB Pro Ticket Tour rankings in 2008.
It was to prove a tough campaign for Wayne however as, despite a decent start in the Northern Ireland Trophy, he would not win another match until the Welsh Open nearly six months later.
A deciding frame victory against Scott MacKenzie in the World Championship qualifiers kept his hopes alive briefly but an equally tense loss to Joe Delaney in the next round saw him end the season in 90th position, far too low to retain his place on the tour for 2009/10.
