Career Summary
A talented young potter, Germany’s Patrick Einsle first graduated to the main tour at the age of just 19 following an amateur career which saw him become the under-17 champion at national level in 2002 before reaching the semi-finals of the European Under-19 event four years later.
Although he could not win that event, losing out to eventual champion Ben Woollaston, he had done enough to be awarded a wildcard place on the professional circuit for 2006/7 following the unfortunate withdrawal of Paul Hunter.
His début season was to be a tough one however, his only victories coming in the round robin stages of the Grand Prix tournament in Aberdeen as he finished down in 94th place and was relegated from the circuit as a result.
2010/11
Three years later however the youngster was back with a second shot at making a career for himself on the professional tour and was hoping to benefit from the raft of changes brought in by Barry Hearn including the new PTC series.
Unfortunately for Patrick however, while he was to win more often than during his debut season, he generally struggled to make an impression on the main tour and following the UK Championship Patrick was forced to withdraw from the circuit.
2012/13
During the 2012/13 season, Patrick was to compete at the amateur-only events, staged alongside the season’s European Tour events across the continent. Performing well enough to qualify for the inaugural EBSA play-offs, he there defeated Ian Glover and Christopher Keogan to earn a two-year tour card beginning in 2013/14.
2013/14
Peter’s return to the main tour was to prove a similar story to his previous spells on the circuit, as he won just two matches during the 2013/14 season, both at European Tour events, against Mark Joyce and Stuart Carrington respectively.
Following the Gdynia Open in February 2014, Peter did not enter a further event during the remainder of the season.
Highest Break (Competition): 146
