Career Summary
In 2004, Thorsten Mueller began to play snooker and having joined a club, was subsequently asked to become a referee.
He passed his first exams in 2008 and four years later, passed his first international exam.
The German’s first professional match came at the Paul Hunter Classic tournament in Fuerth between Mike Dunn and Sam Harvey, while he began working for World Snooker at professional events following the creation of the European Tour in 2010.
Thorsten has also taken charge of matches at the German Masters in Berlin, most notably the quarter-final between Mark Davis and Rod Lawler in 2014.
From 2013 Thorsten is the Snooker Head-Referee in his national body Deutsche Billard Union.
When not refereeing, Thorsten works for Deutsche Telekom, where he has been involved for more than 25 years.
