Ricky Walden has today defeated Mark Allen 10-7 to win the 2014 International Championship event in Chengdu. The triumph earns him the top prize of £125,000 and represents his third career ranking event success, all having come in China.

Congratulations to Stuart Bingham who has today defeated Mark Allen 10-3 to win the 2014 Shanghai Masters. Earning him the top prize of £85,000, the victory represents Stuart’s biggest tournament success so far, as he continues his impressive recent record in Asia.

While Stephen Maguire today became a world champion with victory at the Sangsom Six Red World Championship, one further bonus from winning the event is that he became the eleventh player to secure his place in the 2014 edition of the invitational Champion of Champions tournament, set to be staged in Coventry this November.

Having finished as runner-up in the first event of this season’s European Tour in Riga earlier in the month, Mark Allen went one better this evening by defeating Judd Trump 4-2 to win the 2014 Paul Hunter Classic in Germany.
