After last week saw group victories for Shaun Murphy and Martin Gould in the latest matches of the 2014 Championship League, today saw a return to ranking event action with the start of the China Open qualifiers in Gloucester.

Running until Tuesday evening, the event will determine which of the 64 players will be on the flight to Beijing for the final tournament ahead of the season-ending World Championship in April…

Robertson Fightback Seals Snooker Triple Crown

Congratulations to Australia’s Neil Robertson, who this evening hit back from 5-1 down to end the title defence of Mark Selby in York and win the 2013 UK Championship…

In doing so, Robertson becomes just the eighth player to do win the World Championship, UK Championship and Masters events during their career and takes him the top prize of £150,000. Neil also retains his position at the head of the world rankings, ahead of runner-up Selby.
