While the world’s best players are chasing a spot at the Crucible this week, don’t forget that over at Pontin’s in Prestatyn, several other players will be battling just to earn a main tour spot for next season…
Yes after over three months since Event Five came to a conclusion with Chris Norbury taking a 6-2 victory over Alfie Burden in the final, Event Six gets underway tomorrow as the hunt for main tour places really hots up. While there are several players involved in the events, it will be the top eight in the rankings at the end of the season who will be assured of a spot on the professional tour next year so every win is precious here.

One player to keep an eye on is this year’s IBSF World Champion Thepchaiya Un Nooh who whilst already assured of a main tour sport next year, will be making his debut in this series in order to get used to the conditions at Prestatyn in advance.
