Recently I posted this piece mentioning a number of upcoming exhibitions in Germany, one of which being the “Ronnie Reloaded” event in Berlin. It has now been announced however that O’Sullivan will now not be part of the event, though it will still go on with a number of other top players involved…
The official statement from the Snookerstars website (also available in German), reads as follows:
“As many German snooker fans may have seen recently in the British press, Ronnie O’Sullivan has had issues between his representative management companies.
These issues have caused complications and confusion regarding Ronnie’s business and personal diaries.
Due to this confusion Ronnie’ O’Sullivan’s family have reluctantly informed Dragonstars Eventmanagement that Ronnie will unfortunately be unavailable for his planned appearance on 19th March 2009 at the Tempodrom in Berlin.
Ronnie is sorry for this confusion, and has committed himself to do two new dates with Dragonstars Eventmanagement in June.
Statement from Ronnie O’Sullivan’s representatives
6th of March 2009″
For any of you who have have ordered tickets however, the good news is that John Higgins, Neil Robertson and Ryan Day have been contacted with a view to replacing Ronnie, so along with Shaun Murphy, Jimmy White and Chris McBreen, there will still be a lot of talent on show in Berlin.
In addition it would appear from this article that there will be an additional session put on in the afternoon at no additional cost, at least that’s what Google translate tells me from the original article in German!
