While all is quiet on the professional front at the moment (hence the slowdown in posts recently), this weekend sees the EASB National Finals staged at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield…
Sponsored by the newly opened Jury’s Inn hotel in Sheffield, the event will see seven titles decided as players look to follow in the footsteps of former winners such as Jimmy White and Nigel Bond who have of course gone on to reach seven World Championship finals between them.
The titles on the line are as follows:
- English Amateur Championship – David Craggs (Northern Winner) v Jimmy Robertson (Southern Winner)
- English Under 19 Championship – Stuart Carrington v Liam Highfield
- English Under 16 Championship – Sam Craigie (defending champion) v Tom Maxfield
- English Under 14 Championship – Darryl Hill v Oliver Lines
- English Team Championship – West Midlanders v Manchester
- English Club Players Championship – Mike Faulkner v Alex Dunkley
- English Masters (Over 40s) Championship – Mark Rowing v Colin Norton
