While looking around for details on the Northern Snooker Centre for my trip tomorrow, I managed to come across a link on their homepage concerning the Pro Challenge event to be held there next week and it appears as though at least 13 of the players involved have now been confirmed…

As you can see, the highest ranked player involved will be world number two Stephen Maguire (not McGuire), which is surprising to me given the fact that he will not be required to qualify for the first ranking event of the season in Shanghai. Perhaps he wants to get some more match practice under his belt following his laser eye surgery earlier int he summer. Aside from Stephen, other players to watch out for include exciting prospects such as Judd Trump and Jamie Cope who will also be lining up in Leeds, while the ever popular Jimmy White will looking to build on his success out in Thailand recently.
This should just be a few of the names involved as I have heard that both Welshman Daniel Wells and Leicester’s Tom Ford will also be competing for the £5,000 top prize. As soon as the draw is available in full then I will post it here, unless of course it is tomorrow when I am in Leeds.
