A brief post here to draw your attention to the third event of the 2009/10 PIOS which started this morning and will run until Friday…
Having already won one event and reached the final of the other, Liam Highfield will enter this event as favourite and has already won his first match against Adam Davies by a comfortable 4-1 scoreline. Event One winner Jack Lisowski will no doubt be there or thereabouts too and gets his campaign underway against Andrew Rogers later today.
The most interesting opening round match to me however looks like the one between Jamie Jones and Anthony McGill, two talented young players who are unfortunate to meet at such an early stage. Jamie having been on the main tour twice already will surely be the favourite, but McGill has made a solid start to the season and this should be a good test for him.
