A short update tonight regarding the venues for the Masters and World Championship qualifiers this season…
As has been drawn to my attention today, according to the official World Snooker website the qualifiers for the Wembley Masters will take place later this month at Pontin’s Prestatyn, NOT the English Institute for Sport in Sheffield as in recent years.
Interestingly however, from what I can tell all of the qualifiers for the season-ending World Championship will take place at the EISS. I had previously understood that the final qualifying round would take place in Sheffield with the earlier matches scheduled for Prestatyn, but now this would appear not to be the case. Does anyone have any additional information on this?
Finally as many of you may be aware, the World Series have announced that there will be a two-day event taking place in Prague on the weekend of 17-18 October 2009. You can find full details include ticket information over on their recently revamped website here.
