Christmas Day might be four hours away but it has just been brought to my attention that World Snooker have recently revealed the qualifying draw for the 2010 China Open…
As is often the case I will post more detailed comments on the draw closer to the time, particularly as the last 32 draw is not yet available.
Already though there are some potentially interesting ties in prospect, none more so than Ken Doherty v Graeme Dott, if Ken is able to come through his opening match.
Jimmy White fans will be keen to see who he lines up against and with a possible tie against Xiao Guodong (who last year defeated Ding Junhui in this competition), in his opening match, he will have to be at his best from the start.
Another man who performed well in the event last season was Stuart Pettman as he went all the way to his first ranking event semi-final and he will be hoping to kickstart his 2009/10 season by winning a potential tie with the struggling David Roe.
