While the Academy once again takes centre stage this weekend for the second PTC event, six events will of course take place in mainland Europe this season and World Snooker has now released further information as to exactly where these will be staged…
As detailed over on the WSA website, four events will be staged in Germany in the cities of Furth, Russelsheim, Offenburg and Hamm. The final two events meanwhile will be played in Bruges in Belgium and Prague over in the Czech Republic.
For some of these cities it will not be the first time that professional snooker will have been played there, for example Prague has previously staged a World Series event while Furth has been the long-standing home of the popular Paul Hunter Classic tournament. Nevertheless though it is a step forward to see ranking points being awarded over in Europe and hopefully spectators will be accomodated, unlike over at the Academy at present.
To see exactly when and where the events will be staged, please click here to view my calendar page which has also been updated to reflect several date changes, for example the qualifiers for the German Masters will now take place in December 2010 rather than January 2011…
