Following on from my post the other day during which I confirmed the entry list for this season’s Q School, World Snooker have now published the full drawsheet for event one…

Unfortunately I haven’t got time to put it into a proper, easier to read drawsheet but as you can see, each of the players will have to win five matches in order to make it onto the main circuit (well, barring four due to only having 124 entries), and will the quality there it is not going to be easy.
Highlights from the first round include James McBain v Lee Spick, both recent professionals, while Jak Jones comes up against Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon, both young players who were relegated from the circuit only this summer and will be hoping to bounce straight back on at the first opportunity.
Former IBSF champion Thepchaiya Un-Nooh also faces a tough opener against talented youngster Stephen Craigie while Kurt Maflin takes on Craig Steadman in another mouthwatering clash between former professionals.
Somewwhat amusingly, the two veterans of the draw Mike Hallett and Tony Knowles have managed to draw each other in what will be a real throwback!
These matches will take place at the EIS in Sheffield from the 11th May 2011.
