Congratulations to Ding Junhui, who tonight ended the run of home hope Anthony McGill with a 4-2 victory to capture the Scottish Open event in Ravenscraig. Earning 2,000 ranking points and the top prize of €12,000, Ding moves himself up to 10th place in the latest projected seedings, as well as climbing up to 6th place in the latest PTC Order of Merit.

He fought hard in the final and produced some terrific pots, but couldn’t quite keep the cueball under tight control and take his chances.
