Norwich professional Barry Pinches has called in top snooker coach and SightRight guru Stephen Feeney to get him back ‘online’ for his clash at the forthcoming Indian open with Ding Junhui.
Pinches first worked with Feeney after seeing his results with Terry Griffiths, Steve Davis and Mark Davis and he quickly rose to 17 in the World Rankings.
Stephen currently coaches Stuart Bingham, Martin Gould, Rory McLeod, Tom Ford and Sean O’Sullivan and recently had his patented SightRight Cue sanctioned by the WPBSA for tournament use.
Pinches said ‘Stephen had an instant impact on my game and SightRight coaching got me to number 17 in the world. It’s where I need to be again and in just three days his expertise is already making a huge improvement. I’ll shortly be getting my cue fitted with SightRight too so I can make sure I am on line every time.
Feeney said ‘ Barry has had a tough few years and lost his way. Its hard out there for players on their own, the standard is much higher now and, with back to back tournaments, any player who has sighting and technical issues in their game has little time to change or bed things in.
Barry is hugely talented though and his success back then earned him a great deal of respect on Tour. Its early days but we’re already seeing a good improvement in his accuracy and by the time we get to India he could prove a handful for Ding.
Regardless, it’s work in progress and it will be great seeing him back competing at the highest level again soon. We both know that we have unfinished business in his Career.’
