As close followers of the game, in particular those who are active on Twitter will remember, there was an unprecedented amount of speculation on the morning of their matches with Ross Muir and Mohamed Khairy, given unusual betting patterns being reported.
The speculation only intensified further as the matches progressed, ultimately with both Thai players losing out, ultimately prompting the governing body to take a closer look at the two matches, both of which they had recorded footage of, as well as interviewing both players.
Following extensive enquiries however, the WPBSA have found no evidence to connect the players to the betting patterns and therefore no further action will be taken.
Thanawat is currently in a battle to retain his main tour status for the 2014/15 season, while I understand that Passakorn has returned to Thailand and does not intend to participate in any further professional tournaments this season.
