Yesterday it was announced by World Snooker that the first event of next season’s Asian Tour has been postponed at the request of the promoter, with a new date still to be confirmed.
There had been some confusion as to the date of the event, when a different set of dates had appeared on display outside of the Crucible last month, to that on the official website of the governing body.
The move means that the first silverware of the new season will be won at the World Cup on 21st June 2015, with the venue stages of the Australian Goldfields Open to follow shortly afterwards.
