Today saw the start of the World Championship qualifiers over in Sheffield at the Institute for Sport. Click below for an idea of how I hope to cover the event this week…
Running from now until Tuesday 9th March, the qualifiers for the World Championship are as intriguing as they are important and as was the case last year I hope to bring you as up to date coverage on the events unfolding in Sheffield as is possible.
Tomorrow I will make a separate post (like this one last year), on the current rankings situation which I will pin to the top of the blog and update throughout the week with the names of those players who will and will not stay on the tour for next season. Hopefully this will be a useful point of reference for those of you who do not want to trawl through the ranking lists.
As far as my attendance at the qualifiers is concerned, I hope to be there this coming Sunday, as well as Thursday, Friday and Sunday next week. Depending on other commitments I also hope to be there for the final two days on the following Monday and Tuesday, though time will tell!
Having to combine my trips with work as I am, this may lead to my reports being delayed at times but I will endeavour to keep the site as up to date as possible. As a result of time constraints I may not always be able to post the day’s results on time so to view those please click the banner on the right hand side of the screen which will take you to Global Snooker.
