Further to the confirmation earlier this week that Australia will stage the first full ranking event of the 2011/12 season, World Snooker have now also released details of how you can buy tickets, as well as confirming the tournament format and order of play…

While the above is relatively self-explanatory, there are a couple of points worth noting, firstly that there will be two wildcard matches at the tournament as opposed to the usual eight that we have become accustomed to seeing at recent events in China.
Secondly, matches will be contested over the best of NINE frames up to and including the quarter-finals, over 11 frames during the semi-finals before moving up to the best of 17 for the two-session final.
