As announced over at World Snooker yesterday, tickets for the 2014 World Championship will go on sale from Saturday 13th July 2013.
In previous years these have been made available at around 10:00am and have sold out within minutes, so if you are interested, particularly in the final sessions, be sure to check early on.
If you do miss out, do not panic – it is also normal to see tickets for the front rows to be held back until a date closer to the tournament, while there are often returns available from the Box Office, right up until the start of the session that you are looking at. That said however, I would nevertheless recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay, you can do a lot worse than the Sheffield Central Travelodge, which at the time of writing currently offers rooms at the bargain price of £22.00 per night. The facilities are basic, but if you are anything like me then you will not be there for anything more than sleeping!
