On paper, the 2015 Gdynia Open might not appear to be the most glamorous, nor the most prestigious event on the snooker calendar, but for a number of players on tour, it could be one of the most important this season.
This is because the event represents the final event of the 2014/15 European Tour, following which the final European Order of Merit will be set and Players Championship Grand Finals places confirmed.
Add to that the fact that it will also determine a number of main tour places for the next two years and the importance of the event soon becomes apparent.
