Congratulations to 34-year-old Michael Wild, who has this afternoon defeated Welsh youngster Jamie Clarke 7-4 to win the 2015 European Championship in Prague.
Having taken a commanding 5-1 lead at the end of the first session, Wild added the eighth frame to move just one away from victory at 6-2, before Clarke fought back to threaten a close finish at 6-4.
To his credit though, Wild was able to get over the line in the next frame and in doing so secure both the trophy and a two-year main tour card, starting immediately for the 2015/16 season.
